Data and Control Engineer

El Segundo, CA
As a Data and Control Engineer you will own all aspects of data acquisition and control from design to build to operation while working closely with a fast-paced, agile team that strives to make a high performance in-space propulsion system from a clean sheet design.


  • Validation and operation of the data acquisition and control system that supports rocket engine component and system-level testing
  • Use NI LabVIEW tools and custom software in support of test operations
  • Build up power distribution and electrical systems in support of multiple test stands and test articles
  • Conduct rocket engine testing
  • Resolve technical issues with innovative and scrappy solutions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Proficient with LabVIEW with demonstrated hands-on experience operating the software
  • Proficient with basic principles of data acquisition and control
  • Hands-on experience with design, build and operation of electrical systems
  • Demonstrated ability of taking project ownership and working well in small teams

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering with emphasis on laboratory and/or practical applications
  • Prior experience in liquid rocket propulsion development and/or testing

Additional Requirements:

Flexible schedule and willing to travel to remote site for testing as needed
