Impulse was founded by Tom Mueller, a founding member of SpaceX and the creator of Merlin, the most reliable rocket engine in history. Tom has assembled a team that has worked on some of the most successful space projects in history and is ready to do it again.

Vertically integrated from the start

Our team knows that to control cost, schedule, and risk—you need to be fully integrated. We have kept this in mind as we built our 60,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Redondo Beach, CA, and engine test facilities in the Mojave Desert.
