Our Mission

Accelerate Our Future Beyond Earth

Founded in 2021 by propulsion legend Tom Mueller, Impulse Space picks up where launch leaves off — developing the in-space mobility infrastructure to accelerate our future beyond Earth. From LEO to MEO, GEO, Cislunar, Mars, and beyond, our spacecraft are paving the way to a robust orbital economy and unlocking the true space age with reliable, affordable, fast, and easy in-space mobility.

Our Founder

Tom, Founder/CEO

Tom Mueller, Impulse Space’s founder, is the world’s foremost propulsion expert. As a founding member and CTO of Propulsion at SpaceX, he led the development of propulsion systems for the Falcon 1, Falcon 9, and Falcon Heavy, as well as the Dragon line of spacecraft --- transforming the economics of spaceflight and driving down the cost of launch to make space accessible. Having largely solved transportation to space, Tom founded Impulse to solve mobility within space. In just a few years, Tom has assembled a team that’s worked on some of the most successful space projects in history.
